Get advice on the vaccinations and antimalarial tablets you may need before your trip abroad
If you are travelling abroad, our travel vaccination clinic can help you prepare. This is a private service at Vale of Neath Pharmacy. It suits anyone planning a trip, whether you are going away for a fortnight's holiday, visiting family or travelling for work.
What happens at your appointment
You will have a consultation with the pharmacist. Together you will go through your travel plans, including where you are going, when you leave, how long you will be away and what you will be doing while you are there.
Based on that, the pharmacist will advise you on:
- Vaccinations that may be suitable for your trip
- Antimalarial tablets, where these are relevant
- Practical advice on staying safe and well while you are travelling
What to bring
Please bring your vaccination history with you. This helps us check what you have already had, whether anything is due for a booster, and whether there is anything new you need. If you cannot find your records, still come along and we will talk through what you remember.
When to come
It is best to book as early as you can. Some vaccinations need more than one dose, with time between them, so a little notice makes things easier.
