Help protect yourself against serious illness from COVID-19, free on the NHS if you meet the Wales criteria
The COVID-19 vaccination helps protect you against becoming seriously unwell with the virus. At Vale of Neath Pharmacy, the vaccination is free on the NHS for patients who meet the NHS Wales eligibility criteria. It is given by our trained team in a quiet, private space, and the whole visit usually takes only a short while.
Who can have it
The vaccination is available free of charge to patients who meet the NHS Wales eligibility criteria. If you are not sure whether you qualify, speak to a member of our team and we will help you check before you come in.
What happens on the day
We will ask you a few short questions about your health and any medicines you take. This is to make sure the vaccination is suitable for you today. The injection is given in your upper arm and takes a moment. We then ask you to stay with us for a short time afterwards, so we can make sure you feel well before you leave.
Please wear a top with sleeves that are easy to roll up, and bring a list of your medicines if you have one to hand.
